What Size Helmet Should my Child be Wearing?
For both adults and children, the most important way to stay safe on a scooter or bike is to always wear a helmet. No matter how skilled a roadster your child may be, it’s important they wear a helmet every. single. time.
With that being said, sizing can be a difficult thing to guess. It's important for a helmet to fit snug, and not move from side to side or front to back. If your child is reluctant to wear a helmet, include them in their helmet purchase so they can pick it out themselves!
Rather than trying to go by a generic age range, Micro Kickboard strongly recommends measuring your kiddo's noggin to ensure a perfect fit. To do so, you will want to measure all the way around your kid's head - just above their eyebrows. This is essentially where the helmet is contacting the cranium. Here are some measurement guidelines to help you decide what size helmet your child shoud be wearing:
Sizing for Micro Helmets:
Small: 18 - 20 1/2 inches (great for toddlers!)
Youth Medium: 20 1/2 - 22 1/2 inches
Youth Large: 22 1/2 - 23 1/4 inches
