ACCOUNTS

I’ve ordered from Micro Kickboard in the past. Does that mean I have an account?

If you ordered from us previously and checked out as a Guest you do not yet have an Account.

However, creating an Account and becoming a Micro Friend is easy. Creating one does 3 things for you:

  • You become a Micro Friend which means you receive FREE SHIPPING on all purchases, always.
  • Micro Friends earn points on purchases that can be used towards future purchases.
  • Allows your information to be saved so that the next time you visit Micro Kickboard, you will have a much faster checkout.

To Create an Account and become a Micro Friend, simply select Create an Account when checking out, the next time you purchase. The Create An Account button is at the top of the Checkout page. Or, you can sign up here at your convenience: Create a Micro Friends Account

My last order was a Guest checkout order. I’ve since created an account. Can you add the previous order to my account?

Once you create an account, your purchases will start earning rewards. Unfortunately, Guest orders are “hardwired” as such, and can’t be added to your account afterward.

Please note, Guest Checkout Orders can still be tracked (once they've shipped) via the tracking email we send, which goes out to you the moment your order has left our warehouse.

If you have any questions, please feel free to email us or call us at 888-236-5657.

ORDER PROCESSING, SHIPPING & HANDLING

What is the status of my Order?

We process orders from 9-5 ET every day M-F. It normally takes 1 to 2 days, except during busy seasons when it may take up to 4 or 5 days. When the processing time has lengthened we inform customers on the website. Processed orders are sent electronically to our onsite warehouse to be shipped.

The moment your order has left our warehouse, you will receive an email shipping confirmation with your Tracking Number. You will be able to track your shipment starting that same evening - it usually takes the delivery company a couple hours to get the shipment into their system. Hold on to the Tracking Number as it may be useful if there are any issues with delivery. UPS has a 96.8% successful delivery record, so issues rarely develop, but having the Tracking Number is helpful if there are any bumps.

My order was marked as ‘Delivered’ but I haven't received the package. What should I do?

The most helpful place to start is to check the Tracking Number which you can find in your Shipping Confirmation email from Micro Kickboard. The Delivery Company often adds notes about the delivery, for example, ‘Delivery Accepted by John at the Mailroom,’ or ‘Signed for by Neighbor Eileen.’

Please note: we encourage everyone to ship to a secure address, such as a work address or a home where someone will be available to collect the package from outside when UPS delivers it. Packages can occasionally go missing if a passerby thinks it looks interesting. Most of our scooters are delivered via UPS, and our Parts and Accessories are usually delivered by USPS, which both have excellent delivery records, so this is just a reminder to be diligent about the delivery address you choose.

If your Tracking Number doesn’t provide the answer you need, please give UPS a call at 1-800-PICK-UPS. When you call, have the Tracking Number available. If you cannot find your Shipping Confirmation with Tracking Number, give us a call at (888) 234-5657, as we may be able to look up your Tracking Number.

If your order was shipped via USPS (Post Office), please give USPS a call as soon as you realize that the package is missing at (800) 275-8777.

UPS and USPS are very often able to track down the package within a day or two, and generally speaking, missing package claims are resolved in 2-8 business days. If you need help contacting UPS or USPS, give us a call at (888) 236-5657 or send us an email.

Missing package claims must be filed with UPS or USPS within 30 days of the marked delivery date.

How much does shipping cost?

First, shipping is FREE to SMS Subscribers, Micro Friends (aka Account Holders/ Loyalty Members), and Inside Scoot email newsletter subscribers - within the contiguous 48 states. We are not able to offer Free Shipping on orders going to Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico, but we do apply a $10 credit toward shipping.

Otherwise, the Shipping Fee on orders of Micro Scooters (and on our other wheeled items) is $9.99 per order. The $9.99 fee holds true for an order containing just one item or multiple items. We ship these orders via UPS Ground.

For most smaller parts and accessories, we offer free shipping via USPS (Post Office) to the contiguous 48 states. Larger parts ship via UPS for $4.99.

We also have expedited shipping options available, if you would like to receive your purchase sooner.

For orders shipping outside of the contiguous 48 states, please call us to order: we have a toll-free telephone number (888) 236-5657, and are open Mon-Fri 9am to 5pm ET.

Do you ship to APO/FPO addresses?

At this point in time, we are not able to ship to APO/FPO addresses. Apologies! Most countries do have their own distributors for those posted abroad. We also sell most of the scooters (whole scooters, not parts or accessories) via Amazon. Amazon can generally ship to these address types.

PARTS & WARRANTY

Where can I find the serial number on my Micro scooter or other Micro product?

Here is a handy guide to help find your serial number.

What is covered under the Micro Kickboard warranty?

All of Micro's products come with a 2-year warranty against manufacturer’s defects. The warranty covers defects on material and workmanship under normal use. This warranty is also included on Wheel Deals, Warehouse Deals, and Discontinued items. The warranty is only applicable to the original purchaser and is valid only within the United States; the warranty does not extend outside of the USA.

These items are not covered by our limited warranty:

  • Normal wear-and-tear on parts; including wheels, grips, and brakes
  • Problems that result from external causes such as accident or misuse (excessive load, aggressive riding/tricks, left in the driveway, etc)
  • Failure to perform preventive maintenance
  • Poorly maintained product (i.e. left outside/rust/oxidation) and/or failure to follow instructions & warnings in Owner's Manual
  • Theft and/or lost items
  • Secondhand, modified, or altered product
  • Usage that is not in accordance with product instructions
  • Problems caused by using accessories, parts, or components not supplied by Micro Kickboard

Micro Scooters are designed for personal cruising and commuting and are not designed for rental use, commercial use, or for performing jumps and tricks. If your rider wants to do jumps, spins, or tricks on their scooter - check out Chilli Pro Scooters - they are designed with that purpose in mind!

You can sign-up for the warranty on our website here.

I own a different brand of scooter. Will Micro Kickboard parts fit my scooter?

All parts on a Micro scooter are replaceable, from wheels to handgrips, footdecks, T-bars and brakes. We also offer all the little parts - the nuts, bolts, clamps, springs, and brackets are available for every model of Micro scooter. Our parts are designed to work with specific Micro Scooter models, so all Micro parts are compatible only with Micro scooters. It can be a threat to the safety of your rider to use Micro parts on another scooter brand, so we strongly recommend that you do not use Micro parts on another brand of scooters, and that you purchase replacement parts from the brand you originally purchased from.

My child has outgrown their scooter and I would like to pass it down to another child. What parts should I buy to make it unique for the second child?

The first thing people normally do when passing a Mini or Maxi down from one child to another is change the deck color! Changing the deck on a Mini or Maxi is as simple as removing eight Phillips-head screws and BOOM! You have a totally different-looking scooter.

Aside from that, the most common Micro Mini and Maxi parts that wear down over time with regular use are the wheels, brake, and handlebar grips. All of our parts are quite easy to install, with most parts having instructional videos on YouTube.

Replacement parts are available for all of our Micro Scooters.

Why is there a Prop 65 warning on your Children’s scooters?

All of our Micro Kickboard products comply with USA safety testing as required by the CPSC (Consumer Products Safety Commission). While it is noted that plastic generally contains BPA, Micro scooters are tested and have passed the BPA tests, as the plastic components of the scooter all contain limits well below safety standards of less than 0.1%, or have limits noted as not even detectable during testing.

Due to Prop 65 in California, however, we are required to put the notice on any product that contains any level of BPA, regardless of whether it passes standards or not.

RETURNS & EXCHANGES

What items are eligible for return?

As long as they are new and unused, all of our scooters, luggage, parts, and most accessories are returnable within 30 days of purchase (exceptions are Helmets and Sale items - see specifics on that below). If you want to try out a scooter before deciding whether to keep it, we recommend trying it indoors (non-carpeted surfaces work best!), so that the wheels do not get worn/dirty and the Return qualifies as ‘unused.’ Once scooters have been ridden outside they are not returnable - we hope you understand!

NOTE: Micro Scooters that were purchased from Amazon can only be returned to Amazon.

HELMETS are Final Sale - Importantly, HELMETS are final sale and are not returnable/exchangeable, so to ensure a good fit, we recommend measuring your child's head before purchasing a helmet. For a reliable helmet measurement we recommend using a soft tape measure and placing it one inch above the ears to measure the circumference of the rider’s head. Helmet sizes are sometimes listed in cm or in inches - so take note of both.

Other Final Sale Items - Please note that all items in our Wheels Deals and Warehouse Deals sections are Final Sale and are not returnable.

Extended Window on Holiday Returns: For orders placed between November 1st and December 31st, we offer an extended return window through January 31st.

How do I process a return for an item?

To Return a Scooter or Other Wheeled Item - please visit our Scooter Returns Page https://shop-micro-kickboard.happyreturns.com

To Return a Part or Accessory-please visit our Parts & Accessory Returns Pagehttps://microkickboard.com/pages/part-accessory-returns

Upon receipt of any returned items, we will process the refund within 2-3 business days. NOTE: We reserve the right to refuse any returns that are not received in new/unused condition.

Item Received as Gift - If you received the item as a gift, we are able to offer store credit for any returned items; the store credit would equal whatever the purchaser spent on the item in the original order. For this to work, the item(s) need to be originally purchased from our website (www.microkickboard.com) with an accompanying order number. We may be able to help find your order number if you do not have it. Please contact us if you have any questions regarding returns:

info@microkickboard.com

or

888-236-5657 (Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm ET)

I don't have the original shipping package. How do I package a return?

We do not require you to return merchandise in the original shipping box. Please feel free to use any type of box in which the product return can comfortably and snuggly fit. In terms of packaging the item(s), please wrap the goods in newspaper or brown “shipping paper” to prevent scratches along the way.

We have found that the Post Office (USPS) is generally the most affordable carrier for product returns. In order to offer a full refund/exchange value for returned merchandise, we must receive the returned merchandise in a “brand new” condition (i.e. the returned goods can be sold to someone else as new/unused). Returns must be completed within 30 days of the original purchase.

Please contact us if you have any questions or need help. You can call us at (888) 236-5657 and our office is open Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm ET.

The helmet I ordered doesn't fit my child. Can I return it?

Unfortunately, we do not accept helmet returns. We strongly suggest measuring the circumference of your child’s head to ensure a snug fit. All of our kids scooter helmets are adjustable, meaning that there is a range of about two (2) inches of adjustability for each particular size. Our Micro-brand helmets feature the following size ranges:

  • Micro V2 Helmet Sizes:
  • Extra Small: 46 - 50 cm (about 18.1 to 19.6 inches)
  • Small: 48 - 53 cm (about 18.9 to 20.8 inches)
  • Medium: 52 - 56 cm (about 20.4 to 22 inches)

You will want to measure your kiddo’s head just above the ears & all the way around to determine the needed helmet size; this measurement is essentially where the scooter helmet will be resting upon your child’s cranium.

I ordered one of your products on Amazon and would like to return/exchange my purchase. Can I send the item to you directly?

We are not able to offer refunds or exchanges for purchases made on Amazon.com (and other online sale sites). As Amazon.com (and any other sale site) is the entity receiving your payment and fulfilling the order, you will need to contact them regarding any returns/exchanges.

For Amazon returns, you will want to log into your Amazon account (www.amazon.com) and click on “My Orders.” Then, select the transaction in your order history and click on “Return an Item” to initiate your return.

We are also happy to assist you in coordinating an Amazon return— please contact us if you encounter any difficulties; we are here to help!

TIPS FOR PRODUCT SELECTION

My child is large for their age. Which product should I order for him/her?

To choose between the Micro Mini Scooter (ages 2 to 5) and Micro Maxi Scooter (ages 5 to 12), we recommend that you consider the size of the child in addition to their age. The Maxi scooter is designed for children ages 5-12 up to 110 lbs, but may be suitable for younger children depending on their weight and coordination. The minimum suggested weight for the Maxi scooter is 40 lbs. With this in mind, the Mini's lighter weight makes it easier to maneuver and helps build confidence for younger riders.

What product would you recommend for a heavier adult?

Our Suspension Scooter is designed with heavier adults in mind and is suitable for riders up to 250 pounds.

I'm an adult and have never used a scooter before. What product would you recommend for me?

Our most popular scooter for adults is the 2-wheel Micro Classic - these scooters are very smooth gliding and take almost no effort to balance. You get a lot of glide per ‘kick’ - which makes them very fun to ride. These 2-wheel scooters feature traditional steering whereby you turn the handlebar to steer (like on a bicycle) and are easy for most adults to ride.

Adults who have ridden skateboards may enjoy riding our 3-wheel Kickboard style scooters. Their design is similar to our kickboards for kids, except they are made of aluminum, making them heavier and can take a little time to learn to steer.

My child has a motor function disability. Can your 3-wheel scooter products be used by children with limited motor function ability?

It will differ from child to child, but we have heard from many parents of kiddos with motor function disabilities, that their children found our 3-wheel scooters easier for their child to ride than our 2-wheel scooters. Also, the Oppenheim Toy Awards gave the Micro Mini and Maxi Scooters a SNAP (special needs adaptable) Award because they had been contacted by parents who noticed our 3-wheel kickboard scooters had a “liberating” effect, letting them get outside with the neighborhood kids in a way that the 2-wheel scooter did not.

What size helmet should I order for my child?

Rather than trying to guess which scooter helmet size is good for your kiddo, we strongly suggest measuring the circumference of your child’s head to ensure a snug fit. All of our kids' scooter helmets are adjustable; this means that there is a range of about two (2) inches of adjustability for each particular size.

PRODUCT FEATURES & TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

What is the difference between the Micro Classic and Flex scooter?

The Micro Classic and Flex are very similar: they both have the same size wheels, height range, and more. The only true difference between the two is the deck: the Micro Classic features an aluminum deck that is 2 inches off the ground and the Flex is a wooden/fiberglass deck (skateboard-inspired) that is 3 inches off the ground. In theory, the Flex deck offers more comfort but it is not as low-to-the-ground as the aluminum deck found on the Micro Classic. This means that the Micro Classic has a kicking action that is a bit easier on the joints/knees. However, the low deck does have a possibility of "bottoming out" for example when riding off a curb, which most people see as a minor inconvenience. Either way, they are both great scooters!

Is there any assembly required when I order one of your products?

The vast majority of our scooters arrive preassembled and/or with minimal assembly (5 minutes or less). We have unboxing & setting-up videos available for most products on our YouTube channel.

Here are some quick links to unboxing/assembly videos for our popular children's products:

We have videos available for most other products as well. Please search YouTube for "______ scooter unboxing" using your scooter's name, or you can browse our YouTube channel.

I ordered one of your Mini/Maxi 3-wheel scooters and the handlebar will not turn. Is there something wrong with my product?

With our 3-wheeled kickboards, you actually do not “twist” the handlebar to steer; rather, the rider leans their body weight from side to side to steer the kickboard. If you are standing over the kickboard and apply pressure to either side of the handlebar, you will see the wheels and steering hardware underneath react accordingly to the pressure.

This type of steering, known as “axle steering,” is very similar to the manner in which one steers when skateboarding, surfing, or skiing. This is what makes the Micro MiniMicro Maxi, and our other 3-wheeler scooters unique and fun— the scooters are stable and allow you to “surf the sidewalk!”

Are Micro luggage products FAA compliant?

Yes, the Micro LuggageLuggage Eazy, and Luggage Junior are FAA Compliant in the United States. Also, due to their compact design when folded down, these luggage scooters can usually be used as carry-on luggage. Be sure to check with your airline for carry-on sizing allowance.

Do your air-filled wheels work with the Micro Classic, Flex, or Suspension Scooter?

Yes, the 200mm air-filled tires are indeed compatible with the Micro ClassicFlexSuspension Scooter, and any other scooters we offer with 200mm stock wheels in front and back. The air-filled tires are great for riding on bumpy, rough, or uneven surfaces, though they are a tad slower than polyurethane wheels on smooth pavement. These wheels DO NOT fit on the Micro Cruiser.

ABOUT US

Where are Micro Kickboard products manufactured?

Our scooters and kickboards are manufactured with the highest standard of quality control at an ISO-certified manufacturing plant in China. Our products meet all of the worldwide quality standards including ASTM, EN, ANSI, and TUV. The factory is accredited with ISO 9002 international quality standards and has a professional tooling section, plastic injection shop, and production facilities. Coupled with an extremely competent R&D team, the factory is always poised to produce the best and most innovative Micro Kickboard products.

Where can I try your products before making a purchase?

We have hundreds of scooter retailers throughout the United States! To find a retailer, check out our Store Locator here.

Please note that many retailers do not carry our Teen & Adult scooter offerings. Because of this, we always recommend calling a store prior to venturing out in person, or to purchase from our website or Amazon.

What is the difference between Micro Kickboard scooter products and other brands?

Micro is the premium scooter brand on the market, and you only have to read our Customer Reviews to see that virtually all customers confirm that purchasing a Micro offers a great return on investment. Their smoother, more stable glide makes them easier and more comfortable (and more fun!) to ride than other brands, and they last longer.

In addition to our scooters outperforming other brands, they also feature “modular” designs— this means that each component on the scooter is unique and replaceable. This includes EVERY PART, from wheels and brakes to the handlebar grips and deck. Every piece of every Micro product is replaceable, and we sell all replacement parts here on our website.

Thus, if a replaceable scooter part wears down over time or your scooter is accidentally run over by a car or truck, we are almost always able to restore the scooter to its original glory with spare parts. Most of the time, these parts can be implemented by someone in the comfort of their own home. This allows a Micro scooter to last virtually forever!

Where is your corporate office located?

Micro Kickboard is the official US distributor for Micro Mobility’s products, and we are based in Michigan and California. We ship all merchandise out of our Grand Rapids, Michigan warehouse.

Micro Mobility, our parent company, is based out of Switzerland. They design all of the groundbreaking scooters and kickboards we distribute and partner with us closely.
