Sometimes the best playground is your own driveway—and all it takes is a scooter or two! Whether you’ve got one rider or a whole crew, these three at-home scooter games turn ordinary afternoons into high-energy fun!
No fancy equipment needed—just a smooth surface, a few household items, and a little imagination. Let’s get rolling!
Hop, Hop, Hopscotch
Give the classic sidewalk game a fun twist by adding scooters to the mix! Using sidewalk chalk, draw out a hopscotch course complete with numbered squares and silly challenges like “spin in a circle” or “switch kicking feet!”
Too excited to come up with your own course? No worries—we’ve got you covered! Just use our ready-made design. (Psst... you can even print it out and take it outside to bring the fun to life!)
Print our hopscotch course
Once your course is set, take turns riding through, trying to complete each activity along the way. It’s a great way to build balance and coordination while letting kids get creative with designing their own game. Plus, it’s just simple, active fun!
Ready, Set, Relay

Who doesn’t love a good relay race? Line up at one end of the track, then take off—scoot down and back before tagging the next rider in line. Don’t forget to always wear your helmet and leave enough room between riders!
Too simple for your little adventurers? Try some of these twists:
🐯Act-Like-an-Animal Relay
Each down-and-back lap, the rider scoots while making an animal noise. The other players try to guess the type of animal before the scooting player gets back. Get ready to hear “Moo,” “Oink,” and “Meow” while the laughter flows!
🌈Color Match Relay
Place different colored objects at the far end of your raceway and call out a color. Riders must scoot over, pick the correctly-colored object, and bring it back. This can be a race or a relaxed, back-and-forth activity.
Pro tip: This game is best when played with scooter baskets, bags, or backpacks where kids can still use both hands to steer even after picking up their colorful item. Explore our scooter-friendly basket and bag options here!
🎩Kooky Costume Relay
At the end of your raceway, set up a bin of funny dress-up items—think hats, scarves, sunglasses, skirts, jerseys—and get ready for the silliness to commence!
Each rider takes a turn scooting to the bin, selecting one item, putting it on, and scooting back. The next rider then takes their turn doing the same. Continue this until each player has put on three costume items and then vote for who has the silliest outfit!
Scooter Challenge Course

Ready to level up your scooting fun? Obstacle courses are a great way to boost creativity, challenge riders, and add a dash of friendly competition to the mix. When your crew is craving something new, try out one of our favorite variations to keep the energy high:
